Hill: Benaquhallie
Date: Monday 12th April 2010
Company: Myself and Beinn
Time: 40 Minutes
Dog friendly: Yes (one fence but easy for dog to get under)

Was working in Aberdeen today. Took a bit of a circuitous route home to allow me to ascend a very easy Marilyn. There is room for a couple of cars near the track leading to Upper Dagie. There is also room for a few more cars beside a ruin building at Upper Broomhill.

Parking at start of track to Upper Dagie:

Benaquhallie:

Follow the track up through a grassy field, alongside a dry-stane dyke. At the end of the field climb over or through a small fence. (Electric fence - but it had no power running through it)

Follow the dyke:

Looking back to Upper Broomhill:

After the fence it is a plod through deep heather until reaching a very large cairn, around 50m from the summit trig point.

A wee snowpatch:

Others enjoying a Sub2000 Marilyn:

Very large cairn en-route to summit:

Didn't stay long at the summit as I wanted home for my tea.

Beinn at summit trig point:

Well done to Beinn on bagging his 100th Marilyn.
